Songs From The Swans At Coole

MICHAEL SCOTT has composed a new song cycle exploring the poetry of W.B. Yeats, focusing on his unrequited love for Maude Gonne and the development of the Irish state.

Some of the poems included are; The Lake Isle of Innisfree, Sailing to Byzantium, When you are Old, The Sorrow of Love,

DEIRDRE DONNELLY and DES CAVE read a selection of the poetry and opera singers, YVONNE BRENNAN(Soprano) and ANTHONY NORTON (Tenor) sand the new song settings of selected poems with a “traditional Irish Orchestra”.

The Orchestra consisted of Irish Harp, Whistle, Percussion, Fiddle, Cello, French Horn, and Keyboards.
