CTD City Theatre Dublin

This year we are celebrating 40 years of production, imagination, music, touring and madness (when possible)

In 1994 we began creating as

THE MACHINE THEATRE COMPANY, 

 Over the years we developed several alternative playing spaces in Dublin in Ireland: at the Ambassador Theatre Dublin, The Empty Space at Smock ally at the RHA DOWNSTAIRS and finally at SFX CITY THEATRE.

When The SFX Centre/Theatre  became 40 apartments and a car park we continued to work as

CITY THEARE DUBLIN.

Some of the greatest Irish and international and actors and performers have created theatre magic with us. We have developed work for Radio , Video and Film, working in particular with the BBC and Sony.

We have presented work in The UK, Scotland, The USA (Off Broadway and on tour)  France, Germany.  We continue to expand out repetoire in all media both live and digital and explore new pathways for production.
